Yeah, I heard In Bloom and that put Sturgill on the map for me, then I picked up Sailor's Guide and realized it's probably the worst song on there!

Oh man - checking out Sailor's Guide To Earth immediately. If In Bloom is really one of the worst songs on it then I think I've found a last-minute addition to my "favorite albums of the decade" list

Norah Jones is pretty solid in terms of cover songs. I really like this take on Waylon's 'Wurlitzer Prize'.

This cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Long As I Can See The Light' by Ted Hawkins absolutely kills me every time. Hearing his foot tapping to keep time, the soulful vocal, and knowing that Ted was gone shortly after this record was released...it all just packs a powerful punch.

Lana Del Rey's cover of Doin' Time is slowly growing on me. It will be in an upcoming documentary about Sublime.
Which remind me of "Look at All the Love We Found", a tribute album to Sublime that was released a few years ago. I still listen to Jack Johnson's version of Badfish even long after growing bored of Jack Johnson. There were bands like No Doubt, G. Love and Pennywise on that too if I remember well.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a fantastic cover and works great within the flow of the albumOh man - checking out Sailor's Guide To Earth immediately. If In Bloom is really one of the worst songs on it then I think I've found a last-minute addition to my "favorite albums of the decade" list

And as long as we're talking about Jellyfish, their live cover of Badfinger's 'No Matter What' is fantastic. Follows the original closely, but it is still a terrific cover.

I mentioned this on the old forum once, but, do you guys remember the CD longbox for "Bellybutton"? It was just a closeup shot of a woman's torso with her bellybutton the focal point. I remember being kind of disappointed when the CD inside the box didn't have that same cover.
