Yeah it's there though. Think you have to look in another section. On mobile anyway swipe left or right
Well this is a first for me... I can not, for the life of me, find a record that I was 100% sure I had. Scouring the house to prove to myself I'm not crazy

Does your Discogs collection confirm you have it? Cause if a record falls in a gatefold but no Discogs is there to confirm it, then does it make a sound?

I was convinced I had ghostface killah - apollo kids on vinyl but guess what? Never been pressed 😂😂 good luck
I have a really, really, really dumb question. When dry cleaning a record, is it normal for the dust/particles to be the same color as vinyl? I don't think I've ever experienced that before but maybe I'm wrong?
Contacted Discogs seller about the record from my previous status post. Sleeve was advertised as NM, but was a solid G+ at BEST (seam split along entirety of both spines, massive corner crease/cut, etc). Seller basically told me I should've assumed it wasn't actually NM because he was selling it for a lower price than everyone else. WTF?!?

@Mather 100%, but he only has 7 feedback ratings, so he hasn't had much time to let his douchery shine through I guess?

I'm having trouble with a seller today too. Asshole doesn't know how to package vinyl correctly and I'm supposed to bear brunt of the full cost now because it's in his terms it's not his problem pffft!!! PayPal dispute open

Wait a minute, how is how he packages an item not his problem, WTF is going on with sellers on Cogs?? On a side note, while there have been temptations on Cogs by sellers with low ratings, I grit my teeth and move on, it's just not worth the aggravation. If it's a "must jump on", I ask a million questions......starting with how accurate their grading is.

Received a record today that I ordered off Discogs last week. No box, just two cardboard mailers on either side of the record taped together. Praying the vinyl itself is fine because the sleeve sure ain’t!
Is this new Slipknot album actually any good? I normally wouldn't even come close to caring but I've heard a few people, whose tastes I trust, say it's actually not bad

The new singles haven't done anything for me personally, although they are BETTER than any of their recent output.

Their stage show is great, and I'll still listen to some early stuff for nostalgia, but there are just so many heavy bands doing more interesting things to my ears. If they didn't have the exposure and money behind them, this wouldn't be getting hype.
Any tips on the best pressing of Bjork's Homogenic? I can't exactly shell out $150+ on the 2xLP release, but what's the next best thing?

I'm also curious. I love Bjork (duh) but only own one of her albums on vinyl because I've heard bad reviews of a lot of the pressings that are around right now

@gaporter yeah I was shocked to see how ruthless Discogs commenters were towards most of the readily available Homogenic pressings lol. I came across a couple reissues that had some hopeful reviews, but each of those only had one or two reviews in total so it's not quite enough to instill total confidence

I have the green version and it's not that great, which is a huge bummer because it's my favorite album ever.
Wanted to go to a Tyler Childers show in town tomorrow but it was sold out before I even knew about it. Just got word that the show was canceled and he’ll be back in town in October. I feel bad for those who were looking forward to it... but hopefully with the summer tourist crowd gone I’ll be able snag a ticket :p

Out of all the “pretty good” films I’ve seen, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was the most “pretty good” one. If that makes sense

Tarantino played it so safe with this movie it doesn't even feel like a Tarantino movie.

I don't think I agree that just because the narrative is more subdued and his usual aesthetic is less overt that he was "playing it safe."

Yeah it was definitely a bit more subtle and character/dialogue driven, but I think that’s what made it relatively unsafe. I haven’t kept up with reviews or audience feedback or whatever but I’d imagine a LOT of people will be turned off by the (relative) lack of violence, action, and cohesive story structure
this Plantasia reissue sounds superb so far

The whole story behind the record is pretty amazing including how it was originally “sold”.

@MikeH Right? From being handed out alongside random plants in LA, to gaining cult classic status partially due to youtube recommendations, to getting a widespread reissue is no ordinary story. I hope it paves the way for more of his stuff to get similar treatment

^ I'm not a very big fan of Freestyle Shit, Half Manne Half Cocaine, Massage seats or Palmolive. The back half of the record fucking rules though.

^ Half Manne and Palmolive are two of the best songs on the album. The entire album fucking rules and is a clear AOTY contender rn. Its probably better than Pinata too, not the Goose remix version tho
anyone have a rundown of this Batushka situation? Sounds fucking crazy...

Sometimes it is nice to get the long pay off - for the longest time Jump Fence, Run, Live by El-P got me. And I mean years... it samples First Wave Intact by Secret Machines but when L song came I hadn’t heard SMs in a long time. Years later I was listening to that song for bazillionth time and was like oh snap I know what that is!
I bought the rappity rap records from the vinyl company
