Absolutely without some snap crackle and pop I may as well listen to cds.
Also Crackle so much more fun than a scratched CD refusing to Scan.
I used to send my clean VMP vinyl back and ask for crackle. Annoyingly I only got to ask on a couple of occasions, VMP never used to let me down and many times even gave me “extra crackle
”

Sucks, but thanks for posting. Good to have reference to make sure we are all talking about the same thing.
Meanwhile, keeping my fingers crossed (but not holding my breath). My copy should land this week.

This will be to no one's surprise, but my 2nd Mars Volta had the same issue as the first copy. Joy. Email sent. Will update as to what VMP does.

I’ve been putting off checking out my replacement for fear of the same.
I posted in the RHH thread but listened to mine and Side D sounds exactly like that. First disc was a little warped too (would have loved with that tbh since it played fine but the noise was a no no).
Also, I think I saw it mentioned on one of the threads but it almost sounds like there's some static/surface noise that started on Side C before the staticy sample starts
Just listened to my replacements ( I swapped so I could have 2 copies - 1 to give to my best friend for Birthday prezzie and they were both scratchy crackly scuffy dumb) and one is MORE WORSE than the first copy and one copy is EXCELLENT. Giving the clean copy to my friend and emailed VMP re: getting a replacement for my replacement... waiting to hear back.
While I was listening, scrolled through the forums and came across the ATLiens posts- I had not spun my copy yet but just did and guess what? chicken butt. Emailed VMP again and hopefully get a clean copy. Side D intro sounds suspiciously similar to my scratchy Mars Volta- what up pressing plant? what up Quality Control? Frustrated.Plumcrazyfx

I listened to it online and I think the crack on Side C is on the original.
Oh interesting. That's good to know. I wouldn't have cared about that especially since the sample on that song is like that anyway. But Side D is rough. My replacement order was entered today so hopefully version 2 is good. Seems like Paul is giving the company line on Reddit of there's clean copies out there
Finally listened to Mars Volta
I have the noise at the very very beginning of side A. But right with the vocals come in the noise is mostly gone.. that was the thing with most of them except side B where the first song had the noise because the song was pretty quiet (side D was the noisiest though.. where it was most prevalent but not nearly as bad as I expected)
The real weird thing is no booklet
Other that I'm pretty good package, the LPs were bordering on completely flat and the album sounds much better and the 4 sides make the listen much easier

Got my second copy of TMV today after a failed delivery attempt less than 5 minutes after I left for work yesterday. Unsurprisingly it's got the noise too. Time to upload the new videos!
Unfortunately, despite shipping out less than 24 hours after TMV my ATLiens doesn't look like it will arrive until next week, so I can't just deal with both at once as I'd hoped. But then, even if I did they'd probably ship my replacements separately anyway!

Hey all, I thought I had signed up for Essentials last month but turns out I had signed up for Classics instead and now it doesn't look like I will be able to get the 36 Chambers next month since there is a stand-by list. Thought I would check here to see if anyone would want to sell their copy or trade with me. Pretty bummed honestly.
I wouldn't say that the track is necessarily sold out. I'd check back at announcement day / time as there likely will be at least some that open up for swaps

Now my brain is paranoid that VMP knew that and thought I was trying to steal something from them and try some punishment
