I just got the AP 2x45 Doors as well... but this is the last copy I'll ever need. That pressing, just like the other Doors AP's I have, is amazing.

No offense but the AP 45 RPM is gonna be better. I would spend the $$ on a record I don’t already an audiophile copy of, but that’s me.
That's stereo though, this VMP one is a mono mix.

I think I prefer the mono Doors which is nice. I have a pretty beat up early pressing that I kept over a stereo version. Not the biggest fan of the album but I’ll get it since it’ll probably be the best mono version I’ll ever get.

I read that the VMP Doors is 2LP and with a single. Am I mistaken?

I wonder if the doors is speed/pitch corrected? If I remember correctly, the original Light My Fire was sped up a bit. Possibly the whole album as well?

Lots of interesting stuff among those 12 announced records, but the only thing I'm really excited about is Darkside, which falls right after my grandfathered subscription price ends. Decisions, decisions....

Yeah and it's also 2 LP Mono... apparently. The two LP thing is confusing though... I wonder if they're accidentally including the 7" as the 2nd LP... Because unless it's 45 I'm not sure why it's on two discs...

Yeah very interesting, they link the Doors 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition in the article as well that has live versions. That would make it much more compelling.

Not sure on The Doors. I see the Rhino reissue at my local all of the time and have heard good things about it. I definitely don’t need that 7”. I’ll probably spin it once and then just store it away.

I'm so excited that VMP is doing Darkside's Psychic as the essentials next month. I REALLY hope they continue this trend of complementary exclusives, like with MIA, and drop Psychic Live as an exclusive. That live album is unreal, I listen to it more frequently than the original studio album. I hate their exclusive pricing, but I'd make an exception for Psychic Live

I think The Doors was one of the first true Classic Rock albums I ever purchased when I was a kid. I feel like I have listened to it enough over my lifetime already I doubt it would get much action on the turntable. I have a lot of Classic Rock albums in my collection I rarely listen to already, I don’t think I need another one.

Holy Shit - The pressing details for M.I.A.‘s Kala is incredibly good!!! Half-Speed remastered by Barry Grint at Alchemy! And on top of that, it’s 45RPM!!! 
I’m going to be playing the fuck out of this pressing! I’m going to play it loud when I’m in the best mood, and cannot wait to play it when I’m feeling festive!
I’ve never been so excited for an Essentials ROTM!!! Although I’m disappointed in the Freddie Gibbs R&HH pick, I’m extremely happy with the M.I.A. Essentials pick and I love the Classics and Country ROTM picks for April too!
It’s also so good knowing that both the Classics and Country ROTM’s for April are AAA pressings; pretty much all the ROTM’s I’m getting in April will be audiophile quality and I cannot wait!!!
