Television

Damn. I only got into this show 3 weeks ago or so and I'm already caught up. Give it a watch if you have not already. The first 4 seasons are streaming on netflix. It's sooo good.
Pretty excited to see Simu Liu get a Marvel meal ticket. The whole cast is very lovable.

I remember seeing it pop up on Netflix but I never gave it a chance. Then I heard it mentioned on a podcast and it sounded like exactly the kind of show I want right now. So, I think I'm gonna start it.

Yessss!

I thought about starting it several times but never did. The preview scene that pops up when you hover over it did the show no favors for me ever wanting to watch it. No idea why Netflix chose that one.

I'm sure we will. My wife is fully vested; she sheds a tear almost every episode now, more from the sweetness of certain scenes than anything.

I will say I don't care at all about Carson and Hughes now...and yet I'm fully intrigued with all things Barrow.
I LOVE CARSON AND HUGHES storyline. It's so cute.
I just loved how 'real' Downtown Abbey was ;)

It's very relatable.
If y'all two don't shape up, you won't be invited to my Downton Abbey watching party.

Anyone else on the For All Mankind hype train yet? Because if you're not, well, what are you doing with your life? Really, allowing the Cold War to escalate in space sounds absurd for a bit til you realize how logical the alternate history being presented is. And it gets expontentially better in the tail end of season 1.

Just finished the first season over the weekend. It does take a while to find its footing, particularly regarding its characters, which sometimes feel a bit too much like winky-winky self-aware 60s archetypes, but the details of the alternate history are a lot of fun and I appreciate that they're at least trying to do their homework regarding the technical aspects, even if some liberties are taken. There was some stuff in the last three episodes that had me white-knuckling.

I'm excited to get started on the second season.

We just started watching this week. I somehow had never heard of it until some promos started popping up for season 2. Only two episodes in to the first season so far but I am definitely intrigued. I feel like its going to take me a while to get through it though. With the episodes being a touch over an hour plus the subject matter and different characters, I feel like its one of those shows you really need to be ready to pay close attention to. That's not meant as a criticism or anything, just an observation. I'm looking forward to watching the rest and your comment about the end of season 1 has me excited!

It took me a few minutes to figure out the media relations guy on Ted Lasso was the Dowager Countess' butler on Downton Abbey.
It took me a whole season to realize that David on FX’s Legion (brilliant show BTW) was played by the same actor that played Matthew Crawley on Downton; which says a lot about the actor I suppose. He seemed at least a decade older in Downton than he did in Legion.
