Late night leftover special. Some chopped leftover turkey marinated in mayo and harissa. Seared in a pan real quick. Put in a pepperjack melt.

It’s been a unconventional Cooking Christmas. Polenta and eggs for breakfast, extra bacon for the kid, reheated pasta for lunch, 2:00pm pancakes for the kid, reheated fish chowder for my wife and finally popcorn and salad for me.

I tried a nearby Hot Chicken place and did not properly respect their spice scale. Got Code Red, which is a 4 on their 0-5 scale, and didn’t even make it through half the platter. I reheated leftovers today and made it through one small tender before I had to go get a glass of milk, which is something I basically never feel compelled to do with spicy food.

10/10, would get a lesser spice level next time.

This looks absolutely delicious! I have a soft spot for Hot Chicken. We just got two new hot chicken joints that opened up here. I'm waiting for the hype train to leave the station before I go check it out though. I don't like waiting in line for food unless the restaurant has the word "Michelin" somewhere in their description. LOL

Great pic!

First time I've had the dish anywhere respectable, and not coincidentally the first time it's ever lived up to its name.

I will definitely be going there again.
