So, I *think* there is a connection between our N&G AOTM - Nicole Atkins and JD McPherson. I *think* Nicole's husband works for JD. And why yes, I sure am using this as an opportunity for a shameless plug for Nicole's album. :)

Just got home from a little getaway, and another package made its way to me:

So my package for my Santee is at the regional delivery USPS network. It was supposed to be delivered today but I guess that’s not happening. I was extremely worried because I didn’t see ANY movement but “it’s in transit to the destination” until Saturday when it was updated. So hopefully it’s delivered tomorrow or worst case scenario Thursday 🤞🤞🤞
 
The final part of my Secret Santa present arrived today!!

I recognized the cover but had never heard the album before. I just got finished spinning it and it's really good. Bonus points as my wife even commented on how much she enjoyed it. Thanks so much for everything, @blissfullychaotic you've been a wonderful Santa.

To Santa,

You knocked it out of the park. MBDTF is one of those "why the heck don't I own this" records that is one of those fun albums that fits in the middle of the Venn diagram of stuff my wife and I both enjoy. And that Blu & Exile record! I haven't listened to that one in YEARS. I remember really digging it when I was in college back when it first came out. Thank you so much. Guilty as charged!

it was fun picking your Secret Santa! I thought to get you two albums by acts that I thought we would both like. I thought that Harrison and Fleetwood Mac fitted the bill! The only dilemma was a 70s double of Tusk and Living in the Material World or the 80s double that I settled on in the end!

The third was something that I was going to be getting for whomever I got as Santee. Both because my favourite bit of the forums has been the AoTMs and because it was my pick and album of the year.

Because I’m over here I bought them all from amazon but I think that one came from a marketplace seller based in Europe, it’s a pity they didn’t package it correctly but it sounds like it survived the trip luckily!

I’m glad that you seemed to enjoy them all and hope you and yours have great Christmas 😀

I didn't "seem" to enjoy them. I definitely did. I have a rare afternoon off so I'm taking my wife to the movies. I'll spin The Gloaming tonight or tomorrow.

I'm laughing right now because an attorney just said "Guilty as charged." :ROFLMAO:
