I grew up with chief keef and can confirm you aren’t missing anything, it’s justI just think I'm too old for Chief Keef. If I'm looking for dumb fun- I'll spin Swass by Sir Mix a Lot.

You'd be hard pressed to find one with a 12 track album. Are there any other possibilities for March? Surely Chief Keef wasn't the only Chicago-based rapper to have an album out in 2012.

I get the whole inspired a generation thing, but I have yet to be impressed by anything Chief Keef adjacent in the last 10 years, the whole generation seems meh?i get why many dislike chief keef.. but i cant agree... not just because he inspired what is in the 3 way tie for my favorite kanye album (yeezus is a masterpiece change my mind), but also i don't like is banger, love sosa was a great song, the production is just killer, and it inspired a whole generation of rap the same way 808s and heartbreak did or the same way that outkast did
You're not old. Keef is just terrible.I put on two seconds each of about three Chief Keef songs, said to myself "man I'm fucking old" and decided to never do that again.
I know right....I can think of a lot of examples of things - music or otherwise - that inspired a generation for the worse.I get the whole inspired a generation thing, but I have yet to be impressed by anything Chief Keef adjacent in the last 10 years, the whole generation seems meh?
I don’t think this is the selling point you think it is.he basically invented SoundCloud and mumble rap at only like 17

Isn’t E-40 from Oakland?E-40 is unfortunately not my cup of tea, in general I’m a bit worn on all the southern rap VMP constantly releases. West Coast is seriously under served by this sub
Legit we so need more West coast love.. like before the one this February we've got like... 4 albums from the entire West coast.. it's either new York, Midwest, and most likely the South, probably because they have a lot of nostalgia for 2000s bling era rapE-40 is unfortunately not my cup of tea, in general I’m a bit worn on all the southern rap VMP constantly releases.
