Fat Possum is Spiritualized current US label they issued I think their last 2 albums. It would make sense for FP to acquire the rights I know they did the same thing with Royal Trux, and The Walkmen too
I mean is that a good thing. They’re pretty much equally known for cheap, flat “that’ll do” pressings...

FP might not be consistent but I would take a FP record over a Plain/4MWB album everyday and twice on Sunday.

No but the likes of rhino and MOV prove time and time again that you don’t need to settle for “that’ll do” at a lower price point either.

Yeah I think that sticker gives me as many of the negative vibes as any of the underwhelming pressings do

Fair point, but maybe VMP pushing them to do better mastering will have a lasting impact? Wishful thinking I'm sure.
That's the original design, they should be silver metallic like a pill blister pack. If it's following the original packaging. Love that the art print is furthering that look and also using the original artist. Very excited for this.
i mostly meant the gatefold and how pretty it overall looked

I can't tell from the video if the sleeves are silver or grey in the video. But it looks like grey metallic which would match the OG.

I was rather disappointed when I read that it was Fat Possum has their hands in releasing this Spiritualized album.
I don't have anything against them as a label, but the releases I have from them aren't up there in quality.
But I know they are trying their best.
