I was expecting something a little more special for the 50th vault. The completist in me will go on ignoring my sensible side though.

Vault peeps: Jack's next 2 albums are up for pre-order. Looks like a special edition for Fear of the Dawn and standard black only for Entering Heaven Alive. Other places like Newbury and Target have different variations for Fear as well.

The Third Man press release says neither will have Vault editions: Third Man Records - JACK WHITE UNVEILS FEAR OF THE DAWN AND ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE

Just picked up both albums from TMR. Can anyone tell me why TMRs shipping is so damn expensive?
It's not a huge issue, I've save so much money lately, not throwing it away at Replace Me Please, it hurt a little less.

No other US store I shop at charges as much. TMR charges US$30, the next closest is $US17.

Yep and US international postage in general is the most expensive I’ve ever encountered. Unless you buy from the vault or the pizza guys, that are getting a bulk discount clearly, I’ve always found it unsustainably expensive to buy records from over there.
Equally the cost for members here, or cogs, to go down to the post office and post a 1LP parcel international has been around $24.
