Soul Step Records takes partnership with one of our favorite groups we have worked with, SYLMAR.
Sylmar and Soul Step Records partner up for a FIFTH time with the release of the latest LP from Cincinnati’s greatest live act. The album is called “Glass Ladders.”
Born in February of 2016, Sylmar is an indie-rock, stoner-jazz, dream rock quintet based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known for some incredible music, these guys have built a reputation for incredible live shows with unbridled enthusiasm.
Sylmar songwriting conflicts, taking rock genre to the meat grinder. Contagious hooks and crafty crescendos are often hampered by time changes, false endings and raucous improvisation, resulting in a bold, original, and accessible sound. Just enough to keep the crowd both on their toes in anticipation as well as on their feet, dancing.
Needless to say, “Glass Ladders” feels like a breakthrough album for one of the most adventurous acts in Ohio. The growth Sylmar shows from release to release continues to rise with their latest offering, “Glass Ladders.”
Soul Step Records will be releasing the LP “Glass Ladders” by Sylmar to Soul Step Subscribers on Saturday, November 20th.
The general public sale will begin on Monday, November 22nd. The tracks on this LP can be found on streaming on all services right now.

Soul Step Records continues to support and highlight the music scene in Cincinnati, OH. Our latest release takes us back to Ohio to present to you the unbelievably talented Lauren Eylise and her album, “This Is Personal.” We will have a Limited to 100 SMOKE vinyl as well as 25 Wax Mage copies!
Lauren Eylise’s genre-defying music can only be accurately categorized as eclectic-soul, as an array of influences make up her sound while each song is born from lessons of the soul. Her commanding vocals and acoustic stylings exude an indie-folk style with R&B overtones that easily appeal to the energy of Pop music. And when armed with her full band, The Part-Time Lovers, the soul singer’s sound fuses funkadelic rock and electric blues. She is unapologetic, autonomously sensual and vulnerably transparent in her music and presence.

Is that Footprint going to happen before Christmas. I realize everything is getting delayed these days. Any other Footprint releases on the horizon for next year?

We are back with yet another killer artist to introduce to the world! We are leaning into another FOOTPRINT SERIES release with none other than Sterling Drake and his debut LP, “Roll The Dice.”
Sterling Drake, has his roots planted in the tradition of Country and Western music, from the Mission Mountains of western Montana, all the way to Music City, USA.
Reminiscent of iconic mid- century country artists such Ray Price, Bob Wills, and Willie Nelson, Sterling has honed in on his "country crooner" sound touring with his dancehall band in honky-tonks across the continent.
Drake is a three time Billboard charting songwriter with work released via publishing powerhouse Extreme Music (Sony ATV) and Superpop Co. and has written with several Grammy award winning writers.
