November 2020 Challenge Thread: The End Is Near

Day 03: Election Day 🇺🇸
Play an album that's quintessentially American

The Blues Brothers - Made in America

I decided to keep it light and fun. I need that right now.

And with that; I'm off to my home studio to make funky music and not watch election coverage. I'll probably check the news at around 10 pm. Go Blue!

Gonna distract myself with some records...and play catch-up

Day 1: Dia de los Muertos

I never saw him live in person, but his Super Bowl appearance in the rain is a stand out in my memory.

Day 2: Anticipation

Since I'm catching up and writing this on Election Night I'll try to remember what I was feeling last night.

Cautiously optimistic.

This album doesn't really have anything to do with that feeling, but the cover art does make me smile.

Day 4: The Aftermath

It's just after midnight...so no actual winner, despite what Trump says.

Day 4- after watching the Trump statement..I’m deranged..seems appropriate
SUPERB choice. When I'm feeling close to the edge I listen to that song while watching the broken yellow dividing line of the lost highway flow backwards through the light of the headlights and at the end I know that whatever I'm experiencing isn't as bad as what happened to Fred Madison. Thank you. (the clip i use is on the yt at /watch?v=aepBpZ3kXek)

Not sure how many of you were around the old forum then, but I hosted the November 2016 challenge. It basically died on the vine...the whole mood was awful and I understood why. Let's hope that either way this one goes, we still enjoy music together this month.
