Assuming you've seen the boat load of J-Jazz just dropped at Superfly? All too rich for my blood but some crackers to be sure.

Yup Selaws @me. Some great records indeed and "not so expensive", especially in these conditions. Still too expensive for me, I'll stick with the (already expensive enough) represses.

A super haul for me today, and with some absolute blinders coming in over the next week.

Miles Davis ‎– Jazz Track (OG 1958 6-Eyed Mono pressing)
Miles Davis ‎– Bitches Brew (OG 1970 Stereo pressing)
- Has to be one of the best gatefold's of all time?
The Ornette Coleman Double Quartet ‎– Free Jazz (OG 1961 Stereo pressing) - Big find of the week. This was in Sister Ray in London for £25 with 'very poor' condition. I asked to look at it and play a sample on their decks and I couldn't quite believe it, there's just 2 hairline scratches on one side (can't even feel it and it doesn't even tick when played). The employee said its because the top layer of the gatefold 'window' is ripped (still attached, there's a second layer intact underneath). I snatched it up and there isnt even any surface noise, super clean. Averages at £88 on the 'cogs so it was a fantastic find!

Lou Donaldson ‎– The Natural Soul (1968 DMM reissue)
Lou Reed - The Blue Mask (2017 reissue)
- A truly fantastic PIF from @ChristoBee! Thanks again buddy, it and you ROCK! @Murfocakes am I part of the gang now?
Ashley Henry - Ashley Henry's 5ive (2019) - replacement copy.

Nice haul, I can't seem to find a clean copy of Bitches Brew in the wild and the MoFi has gotten a little expensive..........not ready to cave to Cogs, so we keep hunting :)

Cheers buddy!

Have to admit, the Bitches Brew was a discogs purchase. I saw it pop up for a decent price and pulled the trigger. I have been listening through his discography and reached Bitches Brew, it gets me every time so I lucked out on this one.

Speak of the fucking devil, just got this delivered today. Jumped on it on discogs for $80. I was pissed when I didn't grab it at retail price when it was still available last year or so View attachment 10932

Found this today while running a few errands and if my detective work is correct, it's a 1998 Speakers Corner pressing. The cover is in very good condition (and doesn't smell) and the record is a bit dusty but looks great. Didn't spot any scratches. No idea how the quality of the pressing is, though, but for what amounts to $12 it's not a bad, and unexpected, purchase.

My Speakers Corner Miles Smiles sounds amazing and I’ve heard great things from multiple members here. I think you’re in for a good press.

Had to share. Just got my copy of Damon Locks Black Monument Ensemble. Definitely one of the best packages I’ve got in a while. Pressed at Pallas on top of it. Just gorgeous. I got the limited variant for $32 shipped from bandcamp, the standard was $28 shipped I believe. Money so well spent. Love when a package blows me away. Heavyweight tip on jacket with an obi. Metallic gold foil on the front and back cover. Red in black variant on the A side. Just A+ all around. It’s the kind of quality and attention to detail we should be getting from every single record we buy at that price point. Oh and of course the music is some of the best of the year.

Picked up a couple things today. First one only cost me $11 so I said why not. Been waiting for the Elton target exclusive to come out. Heard the regular pressing wasn’t very good and was hoping this one might be better and for me it’s nice so far.

Also tried to use my 40% off coupon at half price books today and saw a sublime record in the locked box with a $45 price tag on it and was able to scan it with Discogs and it came up as the newbury version so I was all set but turns out it was just the regular version lol which isn’t bad but not for that price, I don’t think.

Speakers Corner pressings are usually very good. I have several from them and all are flawless and sound beautiful. Great grab.
