New Modest Mouse announcements means binging on their back catalog. 3 albums in and it's clear that this is a band that's known who they are for some time now, and they refuse to compromise. Catchy hooks, humor, some glimpses of proggy punk edge. There's something to be had for everyone.
For the longest time I thought the album art on Slave Ambient was depicting an oil rig not unlike the ones featured in There Will Be Blood. Turns out it's just some microphones on a stage. I am a perceptive person.
Flipbin users: I've been finding that when I keep it half full or so, the records end up sliding down to the bottom. Is there a mat of some sort you're using to prevent this from happening? Or do you always just keep it fully stocked?
A little late but I'm not a fan of LIVE DRUGS. Seems to fall prey to the issues many have with live performances. Adam's vocals feel rushed with syllables being cut off/out of breath. I felt this way when I saw them at Coachella too, so I think it's just the performance style. Nevertheless, it's distracting and leaves a level of depth on the table IMO which takes some of the emotion out of it.
