Everything Video Games!

The final sequence of this one is an all-timer in the series.

I accidentally started the final sequence without much gloom restoring food, so the last bit of the big underground fight I was on just a couple of hearts and couldn't restore them. I barely made it, which made the whole final victory that much sweeter.

Well, I rebooted Bloodborne for the annual Return to Yharnam but never even made it past Gascoigne during the event. Made some great progress this weekend though with Gascoigne, Cleric Beast, Blood Starved Beast, Witch of Hemwick, and Vicar Amelia all slaughtered. Currently making my way through the Forbidden Woods to Byrgenwerth. Got a few deadlines coming up so I'll probably take another quick break.

At the end of the Forbidden Woods on my New Game+ playthrough. Had to walk away from the Shadow of Yharnam. Was fighting the lock on and camera more than I was the bosses. Not sure what was going on, but weird camera shifts and random lock on shifts got me tilted. Usually do rest mode on my PS4, but fully shut it down, hopefully just a weird loading bug. Probably beat them first try next time I play, usually how it goes.

Actually I looked it up, forgot about Micolash, guess I'll fight him first then go do the DLC, and come back for Mergot. Saw a post saying that's the best time to do it. Also read that some of the bosses are especially tough on NG+, so wish me luck!

Really enjoying Stellar Blade so far. Having a lot of fun, as well as getting my ass handed to me and dieing a lot. Maybe I should have done story mode instead of normal difficulty.

Micolash is truly the Host of the Nightmare on NG+. Even with high HP and the armor that has the best defense for the damage type, basically a coin flip if the tentacles will be a one shot, and all but guaranteed with the brain blast attack. Didn't think it was possible for him to be a more annoying fight, but here we are.

Finally sucked it up and finished the main story line of Tears of the Kingdom and what an ass-kicking that was. That third phase of Ganon was no joke. All the usual tricks and brute force tactics went out the window. All the perfect dodge and flurry rush fails and 3/4 of my shields breaking (including the Hyrule shield) made for a grueling fight.

Now off to find the last dozen or so shrines and start monkeying about with all the Zonai devices to see what trouble I can get into.

I still need to pick that game back up and finish it. Likely will do that this summer at the park.

It really is crazy how different I feel about this one after completing it when compared to BOTW. I still feel like I can keep messing around since there is so much more to do with all the different islands and caves. I feel like even though I have 57% completion I haven't even seen half of the places yet. With BOTW, once the main quest was done and I found all the shrines I didn't feel the need to keep going.

Quick Isaac update. I have finally beaten Hush and Delirium with Jacob and Esau. This means I've now gotten all of the completion marks except for Greedier with every character! Sadly, this also means I'm going to be playing a LOT of Greedier for a while. I already beat this mode with all the normal characters except Jacob and Esau, so I'm starting there. Once I get that win, I'll switch to the tainted characters and just do random runs until I get some of those wins under my belt. Slowly creeping towards that full completion!

just jumping in to once again just talk about how much I'm loving The Finals. they added a new game mode (though the mode itself is not exactly new to the genre), which is just super fun

I'm nearing 400 hours in this game... definitely worth the $0.00 I paid for it.. ha ha! I really can't believe how much I've fallen for an online shooter. if you like them, and you haven't checked it out, I really do recommend that you do!

aside from The Finals, I've been playing Harold Halibut and Another Crab's Treasure on Game Pass. though I think I'm going to focus on Harold so I finish that and play Hellblade 1 (which I haven't ever played) so I'm ready for Hellblade 2 when it comes to Game Pass

Okay, I'm going to download this one this week. I used to be so freaking gnarly at Halo, COD, Battlefield, but its been at least 8 years since I've played a competitive FPS. Time to dust off the chops.

I think Halo and Battlefield might be better starting points, than say a CoD. I didn't know shit about any of the "newer" (and I use that very loosely) like Apex, Overwatch, and the like... so maybe one of those is closer to The Finals, but it's less realistic, like Halo, and has the destruction of Battlefield (ex Dice developers make the Finals).

it's a faster paced shooter, and it's team based, so there's obviously an advantage to playing with friends... but I have just as good a time going on solo and getting teamed up with randoms. but it's just super fun once you're in the groove.

definitely let me know that you think when you play it! if you enjoy and stick with it, or just want a teammate who can quickly get you up to speed with the game, let me know and we can play together (no pressure though)

When I started playing Halo again, it took me about a month for my reflexes to come back.
I still have horrible games but then sometimes I don’t.
