Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

A “click” does not sound like a cable fault to me. To test further, try using only one cable at a time and switch it to both channels. If one cable by itself consistently produces the click, then maybe it is the cable. Im still skeptical of a cable fault at this time.
Wonder if I’m starting to see some degradation on my stylus. It’s at about 500 hours (Ortofon Blue). The click seems to happen on side 1 of each record, sometimes fading away on side two or sometimes persisting throughout the whole record. Will do some more testing.

Yeah, I can’t imagine a scenario where it’s a cable fault.

Okay so. If you want to have a religious experience, go and find a pair of these IEMs and pair them with like any DAC and listen to some high res tunes. Dear lord. They are astonishing.

Sorry, man, but I don't put anything in my ears that's under $3K.
Well, there is always the Trifecta ‘Astral Plane’, in honor of those who died and left you an inheritance to buy them.

Yeah my local didn't have those ones, but if they did I would have listened to em'. But I'm serious, if you happen to be at your neighborhood audio porn shop. And they have those, just try them out. It's honestly just crazy how good those tiny IEMs can sound. I mean yes. The big cans will smoke them, but man, it's pretty cool to hear what they can do with a driver like half the size of a freaking skittle.

This looks like the protagonist if David Cronenberg would've made an audio-centric version of eXistenZ.
RIGHT?! So knowing THAT, and as a result knowing there is CLEARLY no harm in readily inserting these not at all nefarious mechanical devices deep into two of my bodily orifices-

Thing costs 200,000 euros....
They’d be happy to sell you a “lesser” model for 20,000 euros, if you prefer.

What these “flagship” models do initially is to underwrite R&D costs so they can be absorbed before using the trickle-down tech on less expensive models.

Not to say that the new tech is tremendously better than the older tech, but R&D engineers need something to do that helps the balance sheet.

Ever checked out the flagship Clearaudio Statement turntable that goes for a cool $275,000? I asked my audio guy, a Clearaudio dealer, what the hanging weight apparatus is all about. He told me that when your yacht is listing due to weight imbalances or heaving waves, your ‘table can remain perfectly stable. Watching the Grand Prix of Monaco I’m left wondering how many of the yachts in the harbor have that record player(!) onboard? What a world we live in.

In honor of this turntable I have compiled a comprehensive breakdown of things in my life that are likely to be in danger of "listing".
