Fans & Motor Supply Co. – Quiet Dream
This band formed in the studio apartment above the cafe in Victoria, BC where I worked for a decade. I would pop upstairs and listen in on their earliest jam sessions with a post-work beer or six after shutting down the cafe. When the recording for this album was done they passed unsequenced recordings my way and asked me to write liner notes for them. They released it on CD in 2015 and put this vinyl release together as a 5th Anniversary reissue but pressing delays kept it out of their hands until early this year.

Buddy kicked off the century with arguably his greatest record. It's passionate and dirty and painful with just the right hint of evil - exactly as the blues should be. This is a record I'd place in a time capsule.

Brother, it's a helluva record.
One of Buddy's more under the radar releases but my hands-down favorite that I love hipping folks to.
