Concert/Gig Posters! It's Back!

Anyone have any good recommendations for framing 18x24 concert posters? Y'all buy frames online or just find a local shop?
You looking to mat them or fit right on the frame? If fitting right on the frame I suggest using spacers so the art doesn’t sit directly on the glass.

I typically just buy from hobby lobby or Michaels. They do sales every other week which makes them half off. They are typically $25-30 with the discount. If they are any less than that they will be using plastic and not glass in the frame. You should stay away from those

Yeah..those are going fetch a cool $1K on the secondary market. Only time I've been jealous of not being there for a print but VERY happy I don't have to wait in that line/debacle.
Oooh…I don’t know about that much…I guess it all depends on what happens the next 4 nights. $300 each easily though.

Just thinking about the level they’re playing at and the fact that it’s a Halloween run, I think they could reach just below BD levels for each print. Last time I checked, both BDs were around ~$1500.

Edit: and looking at how they opened the run, something tells me this will be one for the ages. Sheeesh!

Maybe a little divisive, but I like to mat my posters. I think it can make them pop just a bit more:

I found frameusa.com early on, and it's all worked out great so far. Wide selection of mats and frames. Good prices. I get foamcore for the backing, and I attach the poster to the mats with little pieces of artist tape, which should be pretty cheap at michaels.

Thanks. This is very helpful. I'm just getting my feet wet in the whole concert poster scene.

Lots of options with framing. Big thing to keep in mind is stuff like acid free backings, and how much uv protection you want. If budget wasn't an issue all of my posters would be framed by Furthur Frames in CO. instagram.com/furthurframes

Another thread I just found today, and sorry if this is too long. I’ve been collecting for a while and am very lucky to live where Emek lives and started going to the Art of Musical Maintenance poster show @ the Goodfoot many years ago, and he always had a few choice items there. Here are some shots of my very atypically decorated law firm, which I sold in 2017.

Not shown is the office conf room, which had the crown jewel of my collection, Emek’s “Cyberman” from Tool in Denver in 2006. I also have many more posters hanging at home (incl more Emek and Chuck Sperry) . . . and too many stored unframed.

In order, a trio by Sei Rey Ho (McTuff/Moog anniversary commission/Garage a Trois); Dan Grzeca (Empty Bottle Fest. Of Jazz 2002); James R. Eads (Black Keys); Emek (Deadmaus uncut); Emek (Art of Musical Maintenance 3); Nate Duval (Lotus 2012); Chuck Sperry (AMM 12); Fred Hosman (Lotus 2010 Halloween, when they covered Paranoid); Chuck Sperry (Black Keys); Emek (Sigur Ros); Unknown (Cambodian Space Project, which I purchased at a gallery/club in Phnom Penh); Unknown (Critters Buggin’); Emek (Foo Fighters lava foil).
