The Simpsons Movie
Bart: Ohhh, this is the worst day of my life.
Homer: The worst day of your life so far

David Bowie "Never Let Me Down"
(1987 EMI; 2018 reissue from Loving The Alien set).
The worst Bowie album? I think so. @jamieanderson1968 Curious what you think is his worse studio record?

Meh… I like this a lot better than Tonight (and Pin-Ups)

Got the AP pressing relatively cheap from vmp a couple of years ago and it sounds great

O-Ren Ishii: [her last lines] That really was a Hattori Hanzo sword.

Paul McCartney "Paul McCartney" (1970 Apple Records; 1975 Japanese reissue)

A really nice pressing that happens to also appropriately include a song titled "Valentines Day".

Day 13: The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons is my favorite TV Show of all-time and The movie, while great was a few years too late from being the cultural phenomenon it could have been. James L. Brooks had considered doing a movie about 20 years prior with the Kamp Krusty episode the premiered season 4 but they barely had enough of a script to fill out at 18 minute episodes let alone an 80 minute movie.

Day 12: Dazed & Confused
Bob Dylan - Desire

I take umbrage with the “Maybe not a great movie…” quip. Dazed & Confused is one of my all-time favorite films. It’s also super watchable.

I believe it's a great movie - if it's good enough to be a Criterion release it gets elevated to "great" status automatically.

And I almost played Desire myself.

These Acoustic Sounds Ninas are quite sublime. I had a different one in mind for today but instead I can play this freshie!

Play the worst release by a favorite artist

While I think it's the bottom rank-wise, I don't hate this album like most people do. I do think that thing they did with Lou Reed was much worse.

Since I got this on vinyl, the album has grown on me - the drums still sound bad, but it does sound better than the CD I have.

Metallica – St. Anger
Elektra – 62853-1, 2003

Play anything movie brings to mind

This may be a hot take, but I like the soundtrack the both volumes more than the movies themselves. That's not to say I think the movies are bad or I don't like them...just that I find the songs/score more memorable.

Various – Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Original Soundtrack)
Maverick – 48570-1, 2003/2015
