Oh I don't blame anyone for having a soft spot for them. I wasn't exposed to them until later in life so I was never a fan when I was most impressionable to the living embodiment of WWF in music.

But it makes sense to grow up on it and still have fun with it.

Highlight of the album for me. I’m ecstatic that you are digging it!

One of the many reasons I picked this album is I truly believe it grows on you in subsequent listens. The songwriting is just rock solid so that the catchiness doesn’t become boring or tiresome.
 
I have been to many, many live shows over many years. I have seen many, many great acts of many ilks. It is no exaggeration that KISS put on the best show I have ever seen. They topped U2, multiple Flaming Lips (which are all close seconds), Plastikman, Fleetwood Mac, Rabbit in the Moon, and Pink, all who put on some of the most theatrical and comprehensive live shows on the planet. The music is just passable and the legion of fans is downright squeamish but the show itself is unparalleled. The big KISS sign they flick on that burns your retinas throughout the show leaves a lasting image that you'll see the next day when you close your eyes. The disco ball guitar in the dark with the lasers bouncing off of it puts Rabbit in the Moon's disco ball suit in its' place. The flames, the blood, the rockets fired from the guitars to literally knock down stage lights. It's just so out there, in your face, and so well done.

Good to know! I believe it, they def invest a lot into their live performances. I'll make sure to hit a show if they tour around me.

I would also love to see GWAR. But from a safe distance so as not to get fake blood spewed on me.

I have seen Quintron and Miss Pussycat a few times. They are a riot. I had dinner and drinks with them once. Really interesting, intelligent people that have an unusual dynamic.
