Baseball

I’m 50 years old, a lifelong Padres fan. In the 51 years since their inception, the Padres had never pitched a no-hitter. Until tonight. San Diego native, and also lifelong Padres fan, Joe Musgrove threw a 112 pitch gem against the Rangers, and I watched it with my wife and kids. We all screamed with excitement as he threw his 112th pitch, a routine ground ball to short for an easy 5-3 out. This is a night I’ll never forget.

Nice! I heard he had a no-no through 6 but not that he closed it out. It’s always a special thing. If Tatis’ shoulder can heal up this might be the year that SD gets over that other big hump.

I *think* Tatis’ shoulder will be ok. The MRI was negative, he’s on the 10-day DL for precaution, plus he started off cold anyways, so I’m hopeful. If they could just find a way to obliterate the Dodgers. Oh wait..

Carlos Rodon getting the Sox their first No-No of 2021. He had one out in the 9th and he clipped the batters foot ending his Perfect Game bid. Rodon has had a great start to the season if he can maintain it whoo boy this is gonna a great season.

You expecting them to throw multiple no hitters this year? 😁

The Tigers are already 10x more fun to watch this year. I don't expect much, maybe hover around .500, but seeing some talent emerge is encouraging. And if this Akil Badoo is for real, they might really have something in him. What a start...
First pitch he ever saw in the majors he hit a home run
Walk off single in another game
Grand slam in yet another game
And more!

I still want to be rid of Avila as GM though. We watched a ton of talent leave for so many prospects that, years later, aren't panning out.

It didn't take the Phillies long at all to go from really exciting to unwatchable.
Totally. Super frustrating. Not sure what the environment is there, but they really blow up quickly. Some really weak links right now, hoping it gets better as the summer starts to come along. Roman Quinn has got to go first, he's brutal.

Wow, the Giants are actually...decent this year?! No way we compete with the Dodgers but it should be a fun season.
Nah, I think the Reds have finally just regressed to what they'll actually be this year.

Speaking of...

FTFY. :cry::sleep:

Their center field options are bleak. They called up Mickey Moniak who has basically been a bust since he was a #1 overall pick. I'm hoping he can at least just bat over .200.
