Day 26: Make up your own holiday

Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde

This has been my Friday ritual since right before the pandemic started. Finish work on a Friday, have dinner, and then have an edible and listen to records/watch movies/whatever. Plus my girlfriend was singing "Everybody must get stoned" all afternoon, so she must have known.

March 25: Sober Up. Play something to recover from a hangover.

Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy - The Letting Go

2006 was a really hard year in my life and unfortunately I was hungover a lot more then. I would show up in the morning to open the record store where I worked, feeling unwell all around, and this record just felt nice when I’d put it on.

March 26: Make Up Your Own Holiday Day - Make up your own reason to play something.

Purple Day (Supporting People With Epilepsy)
Prince - 1999

I went with an already dedicated observance for today. Part of my job involves working with people with epilepsy and I’ve been able to see how their lives can change for the better with great support and treatment. Prince had seizures as a child, so I thought it was appropriate to play something by the Purple One on Purple Day.

Day 26 - whoops! I forgot the challenge day

Quin Kirchner - The Other Side Of Time

II was going to celebrate the first day of the Easter holidays here but then promptly forgot about it. So here's a spin for my poor memory, and an amazing album that I've been tormenting my kids with while my better half is at work...

March 27: Soundtrack Saturday

Various Artists - I'm Not There

Amazing soundtrack of Dylan covers for one of my favourite movies ever. Like the Day of the Dead did for my Grateful Dead fandom, this record really deepened my relationship to Dylan's music, and introduced me to a ton of great artists to boot.

March 27: Soundtrack Saturday!!!

Ok, I'm going to stretch this one because of my self-imposed bonus meta challenge. This came out with a documentary, so I'm calling this a soundtrack.

Welp, it took 27 days for me to realize you're doing an all live albums month!
Awesome picks, I actually bought Root Down after you posted it.
