What's The Most Valuable Record In Your Collection?

I've been looking for that Funeral for a Friend for a while now. Supposed to be a repress soon. How does your copy sound?

Yeah it’s fine. It’s a clean pressing. I picked up at RSD back in 2013. Will have to spin that again soon, it’s been a while.

I saw that they are looking to do some vinyl presses, look forward to getting a copy of Hours at long last!

February update -

Not much happening this time around comparing to my December update. A couple new box sets (Gateful Dead and The Mandalorian) appear in the top 10, but that's expected.

Ordered by Median value

Still bummed I slept on the Mandalorian box :(

Some shifting, still crazy the heights some of this stuff is hitting, this is approx. $100 and up at median value.

I completely forgot my love for Loose-era Nelly Furtado and am kinda happy it's so pricy so I don't have to try and hunt it down. If they repress it though...

Lots of changes in this month's lists as several of my personal grails popped up and I got some surprisingly high priced items at record stores for cheap recently. I also categorized a bit to separate my collection from my girlfriend's but here's my Top 48 (median) for us combined. Median cut-off for Top 48 is $39, Top 25 is $67 (Clairo w/ Signed Postcard) ,the top 2 Phoebes joined the $100 club. New add details below

New Adds in since the last update:

Watermelon Sugar - One dang song and an instrumental for $100 on the one sale on Discogs. She loves her Harry. That'll go down next month (7 for sale for 55-up) but one could make some nice dough if you got in on that limited sale. The red, single-day variant hasn't sold yet but may show up in the future

Living at Largo - This one is really dang cool actually. A LE of 500, charity record of comedic material from Pete Holmes published in no other medium. I read her the price she paid as a funny and she threw the credit card at me. The cover looks so good in person, very funny material, just a cool collector's piece

Funkadelic - $3 record store find, the sleeve has seen many better days but it's such a fun record and am thrilled to find an original pressing.

Bomb in a Birdcage - Wish I paid $3 for this one, but it seems like it only pops up once or twice a year, a severely underrated female singer-songwriter gem from the late 2000s and one of my most streamed albums ever. This one isn't leaving the collection

Copycat Killer - Phoebe fans are cray.

Sleep Through The Static - Had a minor freakout stumbling on this at a LRS below its original retail price. Also has sent me on a bit of a Jack Johnson binge. Hope they re-press it soon for everyone else.

Hannah Hunt - Their Hannah Hunt cover is one of my favorite covers ever. Sadly paid re-seller for this one but more fortunate than others.

FOUR - Did I mention my GF loves Harry Styles? Honestly, really enjoyed this spin more than I thought I would.

Tracy Chapman - Wish I had the iconic sleeve but happy to have gotten it for a deal. As others here said, sounds incredible.

Now that I've added another 100 records to my collection sounds like a good time for a most valuable update.

Noteworthy changes:
  • Taylor Swift has really been creeping up the list, with 5 records in the top 50, including the RSD 1989 that just shot up in value and is now the second most valuable in my collection, and most valuable non-boxset
  • The new Sigur Rós entered right at the top
  • Other new joiners are the RSD TRON, the new Taylor Swift, the VMP Art Blakey, and the MoFi Kind of Blue

WHEN will Allison push for a repress of this and One Cell in the Sea (my favorite from her)? I want both this one and OCitS and I can't ever seem to find any copies.

Right? I know she's moved on from the A Fine Frenzy moniker but she put out a new EP a couple years back and was touring, so I was hoping she'd be able to get that going. I would imagine between the Potterheads, the vinyl revival, and the quality of those two albums there would be enough interest to do some work on there.
