The Good Ol' Grateful Thread

This is my favorite live set I own. Unfortunately I let my younger cousin borrow it when he was first getting into the hobby. He didn't store it properly and it got warped... LUCKILY this community is awesome and @jaycee is going to attempt to help me out with his Vinyl Flat. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Just got this back and couldn’t be happier. Scarlet > Fire is up next and i’m giddy to hear it again.

Anyone buying that Buffalo set on RSD on Saturday? I think it'll be $125. Price seems kind of steep given those Cornell boxsets were repressed and could be had for like $65 - $75 later on. Think I'm gonna try to wait for a price drop or repress on this Buffalo box.

I'll probably go for it since I'm already this deep in live Dead vinyl anyways.

Definitely not. It's listed at $175 up here. I only got Cornell (re-press) because I found it at $90.

Its way overpriced. So I am passing. The GSTL box set is worth it for around the same price.

Any rhyme or reason as to which ones they press to vinyl?
Seems they only pressed 14, which is a 1 CD set and short enough to get on 2 LPs. I know they released Vol 1 for RSD. If that one sold well, maybe they’ll do the rest in order. I just think 14 was the shortest one and easiest to get on a 4 sides.

Also, @Enaz Fox those tunes you posted were both awesome and unknown to me. So thank you!

Vol 2 being released for Black Friday I believe. I bought 14 and just assumed we'd see future volumes pressed to vinyl. Oh well.

I'm streaming Vol 2 right now. It's okay. I'm not going to buy it on vinyl. I'd much rather have JGB self-titled, which to my knowledge has never been pressed. It's nearly the same set of songs from around the same time period, but much better versions IMO. I used to have that on CD and I played those discs to death.

Vinyl is sort of an RSD afterthought for them. I think the self-titled from 1990 needs to be pressed and would be a definite buy. It might be the best solo Jerry release out there.
