It happens, I still like the "Allowance" method. I give myself a weekly allowance, I can save or spend, but when there's nothing there, we don't buy........which is why I keep an emergency balance in that allowance..............just in case, lol.

That being said, I still have "No Buy" months ;)
 
I was doing no-buy this month, but then I stumbled on two really good deals and got two albums I love for under $15 shipped (combined)... so I don't know whether to be proud of myself or totally disappointed... 🤷‍♂️

October 1st. So far so good.

I got charged for Vulfpeck's next album I pre-ordered on Qrates and had to pay customs fees on my shipment from Japan. So far so good and I even rejected a John Coltrane deal yesterday, which makes me proud. No deals on Dodax, thank you Dodax for helping and I didn't log on Discogs. I added a few CD to my cart on Amazon Japan but will only place the order on November 1st at 00:01. It's raining outside and and it's getting cold. Normally I would go to Discogs and buy a couple of record to warm, but today I won,'t. I try to avoid pre-order and only vinyl deals threads.

Ok Im in for this month - (i might have a few on the way) but no more for October !

Im gonna post daily just to mentally remind myself im on Cold turkey.
 
Day 1 - Done.

I am possibly receiving a decent copy of Neil Youngs Harvest to ease my cold turkey today (paid for last month)

Unsure why i accepted my beat up copy so long - My new cleaning machine - highlighted fact nothing was gonna bring that vinyl to an acceptable level of quality.

I think I might also pass on each day an update of an old used album ive cleaned and spun with results. Does this help draw atttention away from Online Deals thread ? :unsure:
 
Day 2. I feel my sense of smell and taste improve. I almost decided to go for a run outside but it was raining as hell so I stayed home playing Ball Sort Puzzle instead. Joking, why would I do that!? I mean go out and running. I didn't check for any deal anywhere, mostly because I was busy at work which is good to continue my vinyl diet. I added a few CD to Discogs that I bought from Japan. It hurts me to think about all these little records for sale in the marketplace that are looking for a new home. But I must stay strong and resist. Tomorrow I am eating some quinoa salad. Joking again, Saturday is pizza day.
