"Let's wait one day and hope for the best." Solid plan, MLB.
The only thing more doomed to failure than this MLB season, was the time I said I was gunna cap my record collection at 250. Other than that THIS is the most idiotic thing ever.

Or the Marlins are just a franchise full of morons.
My bad. It does say "positive cases". I thought I had read positive tests. Apprently Soto must have tested positive over the weekend or else he would be back. Still not sure about Davidson. Some other Reds are on the list but apparently just had symptoms not a positive test.Soto was announced on Wednesday, July 22. I'm in the shut the Marlins down camp, not MLB. The Marlins can't seem to understand how to make it work, like many in the state of Florida and the Miami area.
Yep, according with what I was reading from Reds beatwriters, Davidson had a positive diagnosis but was from before these numbers. Moose and Senzel weren't feeling well, but I haven't seen news of a positive or negative diagnosis for either yet.My bad. It does say "positive cases". I thought I had read positive tests. Hoping for the best. The White Sox manager woke up with symptoms yesterday but tested negative. Hopefully people are being overly cautious, as they should.Yep, according with what I was reading from Reds beatwriters, Davidson had a positive diagnosis but was from before these numbers. I actually like the canned crowd noise. Anything to make it sound like a normal game on TV.Finally put on a game last night and the canned audience noise was so weird. And I cringed every time a pitcher licked his fingers before handling the ball. Had to turn it off.
I don’t mind it though I would like an occasional game where they would NOT have it as this is (hopefully) a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear the game without the chatter.I actually like the canned crowd noise. Anything to make it sound like a normal game on TV.
I haven't seen that yet but it struck me as something that wouldn't be sustainable across a full broadcast. It's only on a couple of cameras yes? Probably the centre field pitch cam and wide field shot behind the plate? Other than that it's just empty seats on all the other camera angles I would guess? Can we all at least agree that canned crowd noise is better than the Fox virtual crowd? (Which I still don't get. I watched an inning or two and still saw empty seats in 90% of the shots)
Yep agreed. It's why I thought it was a bad idea when I first saw it. They don't really have the ability on most broadcasts to do that kind of virtual tracking on more than a couple of cameras per stadium. So I figured it wouldn't be visible in most shots since it's not available on most of the camera angles.I only saw it in the wider shots of the full stadium. Not even on the pitching cam. If it's only on certain shots it's more distracting than the purpose it's supposed to serve.
I would expect nothing less of a team owned by Jeter. If these Marlins strip club rumors are true i think it's safe to place blame on the players on this one.

Virtual fans looked dumb. Cardboard fans is great. Canned noise is fine as long as it's well done. I don't care how you fool me, just fool me well. Virtual fans doesn't because if done wrong, the players pass right through the fans when they're walking back to the dugout.
