excluding the 3 albums i did swap for (Ruen Brothers, Gloaming, and Kendra Moris), here are my "WHAT AWARD WOULD I GIVE THEM"
Heritage - Most Frequently Spun
The Blue Mask - Niche Classic
Khemmis - Most Fun Guessing Game
Goodnight Rhonda Lee - Biggest Boost (we all supported and praised her ASAP, she was a great person)
La Leyenda De La Tiempo - The Most Hyped (we were talking about it for a good while if just because we wanted to find copies for a good while)
No Now - The Made for Me Award (the album that seems to basically be perfect for me)
Ash - Slow Grower
Germ Free Adolescence - The Girl Power Award
Every Hour is a Dollar Gone - Best Summer Album (feels like an album that would be wonderful to play when you are relaxed in the summer)

I saw a sitcom on Wednesday that suggested some superlatives could end up hurting feelings. I’m gonna give mine out anyway but if it does hurt feelings (1) I didn’t mean to and (2) sorry!

🥳 💃 La Leyenda del Tiempo (Camaron de la Isla): Biggest Pleasant Surprise (I would not have guessed I’d be a fan of flamenco but I woulda been wrong!) and Best Accessory (Illustrated Lyric Translation Booklet, are you kidding?)

🍄 All My Shades of Blue (Ruen Brothers):
Most Like Mario in Super Mario Bros. 2 (good at everything with no significant flaws)

🧐3 (The Gloaming): Biggest Cultural Teaching Moment (this coulda also gone to the Camaron album, but I actually thought I knew what Irish music sounded like and this album taught me I did not, in fact, know)

🤯No Now (Clarence Clarity): Most Batshit Bonkers in the Best Possible, Catchiest Way

😎Ash (Ibeyi): Album That Makes Me Significantly Cooler By Owning It, Just By Association

🎁X Ray Spex (Germ Free Adolescents): Biggest Gift to College Punk Rock Me (I thought I knew or had heard of most older punk/punk adjacent stuff and then this album was another lesson I don’t know anything...there’s definitely a theme in these superlatives re my lack of knowledge)

🎼Every Hour is a Dollar Gone (Patrick Sweany): Artist I’d Most Like to See Perform Live

🤩Mockingbird (Kendra Morris): Newest Fandom (I’ve only streamed the album once, but I did buy the artists’ discography)

I didn't love the idea of ranking, but I'm down with the idea of feedback since criticism can inform perception and helps us get to know each other. this is a neat way of doing that, thanks for sharing.

I love to read that Heritage is good for cooking eggs (according to the emoticon) but do you prefer sunny side up (Vol. 1) or down (Vol. 2)?
 
i kinda keep overreacting because i dunno what to buy and make my ROTM because everyone else has something unique or obscure or cool and i dont have many obscure or interesting records to show to everyone and when i have an idea i keep second guessing if it really says something about me...
