Online Vinyl Deals

So today i decided to cancel what was an awesome deal on a bunch of Tone Poet's and a few BN80's from UDiscover. The order had been open since the big sale last year (Black Friday i think) and their customer service was pretty awful as far providing anything of substance in their responses. Now, I am searching for some Tone Poet deals again and was wondering how often Blue Note does their discounts? Right now, Amazon seems to be the cheapest, but their packaging is hit or miss. Should I check anywhere else? I went back a few pages, but hadnt seen anything posted recently. Thanks!

Yeah that sucks. They JUST filled mine yesterday. I didn't order any of the Tone Poets, only 3 BN80 titles. Still the wait and lack of communication has bee disheartening for sure.

Amazon has a few in their warehouse deals. I ordered one and it did come In a plastic bag mailer (n)

Exactly. I probably could have waited forever, but the 5th or 6th time hearing, "Let me check with the warehouse" finally got to me. Had that 30% off with the additional 20% deal. What's most frustrating is that some of the titles are still on their site for sale despite being out of stock for 3 months. Makes me wonder if they wanted me to cancel since i had about $200 worth after discounts...:unsure:

I’m waiting on some as well but I paid $18 or less for every Blue Note TP I bought on the site. I know there were some production delays on the ones that were due to come out in Jan. I don’t mind waiting personally as they arent limited in any capacity, but it is very frustrating to have to constantly wait while they still have them in stock on their site. I actually owe them an email since I haven’t checked in for a bit.

As for BN having sales on their own, it seems pretty rare and their prices are always highest. I have had no issues ordering the TPs through amazon. I have also ordered through PlaidRoom and they have some of the best customer service ever.

My order from Black Friday (about 7 lps, all Tone Poets and BN 80s) arrived yesterday. All in good shape. I knew that one of the albums hadn't been released yet, and that that was going to hold up the order. I emailed on Monday to check and it shipped right after that.

Oh well...hopefully I’ll catch some of these again through the forum on a deal

If you've been emailing cs and no responses, then it's possible you'd never get your records and you made the right choice. I knew going in based on mixed reviews I read that something could go wrong and I wouldn't get my order. I thought if that happened I'd just cancel as you did. The good news is that these sales do keep coming up so you can take another shot in the future.
