Ambient/New Wave album from Sufjan and Lowell. I have the Sufjan curse so I've obviously ordered it already.
If I remember correctly they took a while to actually ship the item. I can't remember if that's where I ordered that all 3 records had bent corners but if it is they replaced all 3 no questions asked.Haven't bought from udiscover yet, any reason not to shop there?
I must have seen you post about this record a while back. I heard Orchestra Baobab for the first time a few years ago on the Day of the Dead comp and loved them, so I checked them out. I don't remember seeing this album available for streaming at the time, so I've been listening to just Bamba from 1993, I think, which seems to have a lot of the same tracklist. Can you explain what the difference is? Was it tacked on to another release in '93 for some reason?Orchestre Baobab - Mohammadou Bamba
Possibly my favourite African album ever ORCHESTRA BAOBAB Mouhamadou Bamba (reissue) vinyl at Juno Records.
Yes, the CD release Bamba is almost two albums spliced together - first five tracks are from Mohammadou Bamba (OG has six in total) and last five tracks from this Baobab Gouye-Gui De Dakar* - Viva Bawobab S1 / Si Bou Odja I have the OG of this but only the record, not the cover. Either way, I can't recommend this release enough - the first two songs are as good as Orchestre Baobab made (and they made quite a lot, all of amazing quality). Headroom will be pressed as well.
Men I Trust's first album on vinyl for the first time. Ltd to 1,000.
Looks to be cheaper here, and you can bundle their other releases

Yes--cheaper but I do like that bandcamp includes FLAC files so if the shipping is the same, I'd rather go that route for the few extra dollars.Looks to be cheaper here, and you can bundle their other releases
If you add both of the new albums on bandcamp it's 64 USD vs. adding both on their label site is $53.98 CAD which translates to $40.58 USD, so kind of a no brainer there. Savings would likely be even better if you added Oncle to the mix.
There it is! Crazy that Oncle Jazz is on it's 8th pressing already but good for them!

Ah gotcha. It's saying 54 shipped for me to the US for those 2 on bandcamp but still decent savings if you go through the label. Didn't realize the Return To Analogue site was in CAD--thanks!If you add both of the new albums on bandcamp it's 64 USD vs. adding both on their label site is $53.98 CAD which translates to $40.58 USD, so kind of a no brainer there. Of course I literally bought Oncle Jazz YESTERDAY. I'm almost tempted to wait out the inevitable color re-presses of these though. If you add both of the new albums on bandcamp it's 64 USD vs. adding both on their label site is $53.98 CAD which translates to $40.58 USD, so kind of a no brainer there. Oncle Jazz is great and my pressing sounds good so you'll be happy with it I'm sure!Of course I literally bought Oncle Jazz YESTERDAY. I'm almost tempted to wait out the inevitable color re-presses of these though.
The Self-titled seems like a comp of singles and other songs along with 3 songs only on that vinyl (they say they won't be added to streaming). It also seems like the S/T has a large percentage of the tracks from Headroom on it, so that isn't really a necessity for me I guess!
Thanks for this. Was gonna order from Bandcamp, but would’ve been $20 US + $12 shipping. From the ReturnToAnalogue site, the record is $13 US + $10 shipping, saved $10.Looks to be cheaper here, and you can bundle their other releases
Men I Trust
A Brief Introduction to Men I Trust Dreampop is leading us into the next century. It is one of the more progressive and ever-evolving sub-genres of the past decade.
