But seriously, Fan Damage is so good, so very very very good. It's a much rawer El-P who raps about rather being mouthfucked by nazis and the like.. so it's not as meme friendly as his RTJ persona would have you believe.. but honestly, top to bottom, I don't think there's a non-amazing track on the record.

Also on the same tangent, there were a lot of great remixes and shit released for the album like the Dead Weathermen remix of Dead Disnee featuring a lot of the Weathermen crew .. and the RJD2 remix of Lazerfaces Warning too ... Fan Dam and Cold Vein are like the Mach Hommy and Westside Gunn of the def jux catalog.

Also.. can we talk about El-P's Linda Trip ? Or I guess it's a 'Co Flow' song.. talk about taking internet beef to the next level.

Omg, I hope you enjoy work and that working late doesn’t affect you much! I struggled so much, even on Afternoon shift. I know that you finish worn really late a lot of the times, so I really do hope it suits you mentally. Also, it’s winter over in Canada and you’re catching a bus home so late! Sounds freezing and tiring!

Yeah, Sandbox and Hiphopsite got a lot of money from me way back when. Especially when they were doing those promo 7's for LPs. Also had a homey who worked there that would occasionally lace me with some dope shit.

Yes, it's pretty much all of those things. It's fun, but it's draining.

I was thinking about that track yesterday. El-P goes off so hard on Sole. “ I love Company Flow... I wanna be down” Sole probably died a little inside after hearing that track
 
Man I miss ordering an album from a place like undergroundhiphop.com and it coming loaded with random posters and promo singles. I have a bunch of Stones Throw singles from the early 00's because of it, along with posters of things like Monsta Island Czars and MF Doom's Mm..Food (I also have a promo 12" of Potholderz which spurred my interest in one of my now favorite artists, Count Bass D).

Those were the days.
 
I like El-P but not sure how much spin it will get. I’m on the fence about it. And I think with Phrenology I’m getting my RHH fix for the month. A record I think I’ll spin more.

also I keep pushing off the last Stereolab reissue I want and that new Bon Iver special edition of Blood Bank is a must

That's kind of where I am with the El-P, it's pretty good but not sure of how much I'd spin it. Will likely depend on what is in swaps.
