Needles & Grooves AoTM /// Vol. 5 - November 2019 /// Ruen Brothers "All My Shades of Blue" (2018)

So I finally got around to spinning. Really nice pressing and very much enjoy. Several highlights throughout: "All My Shades of Blue", "Finer Things" (love rock with horn sections), "Motor City", "Aces" and "Summer Sun" stood out (yes, that's a lot and it's (y)(y)). Plus this was new to me. Great pick, once again!

I've streamed the album twice, but I'm not sure this is really something I would spin. The sound sound a bit too dated for my tastes, but it inspired me to ask a question in the AMA thread.

I'll let it sleep for a time in my mind and try again by the end of the month.

I first saw them open for Cafe Tacvba in Los Angeles last year. I was blown away by the music and charisma of the band and I personally loved the voice and old school style is rock and roll they have, plus they ended with a Johnny B. Goode cover with Cafe Tacvba's bassist(Quique Rangel, who I love).Chatted with them after the concert, they were at the merch booth, bought the album and here we are lol.

By the way the still have a few dates around the US if you are able to catch them!
