Jazz

Sounds like a plan, good luck with that !;)
Yeah I mean that's the thing. I KNOW the MOFI stereo will be a big jump from my MOV stereo, I'm not sure that the Legacy RKS Mono will be that big of a jump over my stereo. And your point about not wasting money buying this same album 3 times when there are numerous others I should have makes a lot of sense. I mean my dumb lizard brain wants to ignore that advice and just buy it but I should probably just wait for the cheapest deal I can find on the Mofi and call it a day...

OK, one more Presale Alert for jazz fans: The Comet is Coming is reissuing their first three releases as a bundle:

This black vinyl bundle includes The Comet Is Coming's debut album, Channel The Spirits, along with the Prophecy and Death To The Planet EPs. Includes unlimited streaming of The Complete Studio Recordings 2015CE-2017CE via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Available Oct. 18 via their Bandcamp site for $50 (+$23.87 shipping to the states).

(Note: Death to the Planet alone was selling on Discogs for between $50-$80 at one point.)

Finally on vinyl:

Angel Bat Dawid - The Oracle

This is an absolutely fantastic album jazzbos. It’s so ‘different’ for want of a better word, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard anything quite like it. I gave it scant attention when it was released as it didn’t quite gel with me but, when @phramenma posted this I gave it another go and it has been on regular Spotify rotation since. The penultimate track, Capetown may be the best track I’ve heard all year and the journey there is just brilliant. I’m not a massive vocals fan but they’re used to such haunting effect here, Spiritual, Blues tinged and almost gospel-like.

I highly recommend taking a listen (or relisten) if you haven’t already. I can’t wait to grab it on record.

@Selaws - musicmagpie's ebay store has 20% off with code PLENTIFUL on baskets over £25. Thought it might interest you as they have some of the Tone Poet & BN80 releases and a bunch of Speakers Corner stuff too. I picked up Turrentine's Hustlin' for £26.40 and Byrd's Ethiopian Knights for £17.80 which is as low as I've seen them over here. Here's a link to the SC stuff.

Huge thanks for this @Mr Moore. I managed to catch up on the tone poets (not including Cassandra Wilson) by picking up the last 3. A lot cheaper than everywhere else, especially when you factor in the free shipping. Cheers again!

Bloody hell, this is an expensive week of releases:
