I haven't played this album in ages and it's such a shame as its fantastic. Afro-Cuban jazz with some tracks having french vocals. Guédon also painted the artwork for the cover. Fantastic.

After so much acoustic Ali Farka Toure, it's frankly a slight relief to get to his electric stuff where I think he sounds even better, and Hootie's second best behind Cracked Rear View.

Potentially my favourite historic release of the year. Just stunning and really makes you wonder why he wasnt recorded more. Well worth picking this up if it can be found, looks like its limited to 1,500 copies.

Have a copy of this on the way and really looking forward to it. Weird they didn’t press more than just 1500.

Its really really great! I find it weird as well and can only assume they are a small label (their website stated they are an independent label focusing on historic releases) or that they wanted to focus on quality over quantity. Either way, I'm seriously surprised that it hasn't sold out yet.
