Madlib has released like 200 albums in his career. Why does Shades of Blue specifically keep coming up? If it’s gonna be a Tone Poet later this year it makes absolutely zero sense for VMP to be doing it.

So month one is ATL artist who has shown up once before in a VMP sub, which excludes OutKast. Who else would qualify? I guess Big Boi if you exclude the OutKast stuff…
