Certainly points more towards J5 than Blackalicious. (Unless Chief Xcel does more rapping than I think he does......it's mostly Gab, no?)

Are there any other releases that fit this clue outside of J5 and Blackalicious? Beatnuts don't have a DJ in their ranks. I don't think Slum Village did either (Dilla left in 2001).
Blackalicious, one DJ, one rapper? I mean it still fits doesn't it?

It's not really a good clue at all as not only are most performers male, most groups had a DJ in them too. Like.. famous groups, EPMD.. everyone thinks of Erick and Parrish but it also included Diamond Jay and DJ Scratch. Likewise (although probably more known), Terminator X was a member of PE but rarely ever gets mentioned when talking about them.

I would absolutely hate if they did that Lil Jon album for R&HH. Hasn’t aged well at all either. It was also pressed for RSD recently I think? Though that hasn’t deterred VMP in the past.

I don't understand why Funkdafied isn't as loved in these parts as I have loved it over the years
has Non-Phixions "The Future is Now" been ruled out. I think it would fit the clues better than blackalicious, although I would prefer blazing arrow.
If blackalicious still fits the clue, then might as well throw in The High & Mighty's "Air Force 1" into the mix
