Vinyl Me Please Country

Yikes, my copy was pretty flat. Not totally silent but the tiny bit of noise was not prolonged enough to make a case for CS.

Like many I really love this era of Waylon, partially this one. IDGAF ifs this is the "basic" Waylon record to like, I think it's the peak of his 70s output. That said, it's rare to find on vinyl, let alone clean so I've never owned a copy, although I do have a 90s cassette reissue haha. I think this sounds great! Certainly better than the cassette and lossless stream. There's periods of bloated bass and overdriven vocals but those are all present in every version, it's outlaw country, not countrypolitan. RKS's cut is dynamic and crankable, really good release from VMP that almost makes up for the Iris Dement mess.
