Really enjoying this GA-20 but I don't really get the old Black Keys comparisons (and I love The Black Keys). This seems closer to more traditional electrical blues to me whereas the old Black Keys stuff was more distorted LoFi blues rock. But again, this album is great!

I think the comparisons are because it’s throw back blues rock that’s pretty grimy. It doesn't sound like the keys to me either but I can understand why they would make the comparison. It’s also a marketing strategy... The Keys have had a might bit of success...

I wish they were playing a bigger spot in Lawrence. They just sold out a ~400 person venue in KC and The Bottleneck is only 500 maybe. Plenty of bigger spots in Lawrence or KC they could have played but who am I kidding I'll go either way.

Yep! I already let my brother know not to miss it this time, but unfortunately won't know for another month at least whether I'll be able to make it down. Hope it doesn't sell out in the meantime!
Awesome, a stop in Ferndale MI. So I'll be seeing Black Pumas in January and Durand Jones in February. That will help make winter more bearable!
