Recommend Me an Album from 2019

Ok so your list will get out of control pretty soon but...I recommend this to anyone who will listen: Josin - In the Blank Space. She's a Korean German multi instrumentalist/producer/singer. Her debut album is a gorgeously dark, brooding, atmospheric, rising and falling piece rich in emotion and melancholy. She has a Thom Yorke-ish timbre at times and some of these tracks can resemble a Yorke ballad but not in an overly derivative way. I love it.

I'll give you a few (mostly rock) genres to pick from

Industrial metal: Rammstein - Untitled
Electronic groove metal: Death Therapy - Voices
Alternative rock: Bring Me The Horizon - Mantra
Art/progressive rock: O.R.k. - Ramagehead
Blues rock: Rival Sons - Feral Roots
Electronic/dance/new wave: Blaqk Audio - Only Things We Love
Blues pop: Maddie Poppe - Whirlwind
Trap pop: Billie Eilish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
Country: George Strait - Honky Tonk Time Machine

I gave the Rammstein a try and couldn't really vibe with it personally. Idk maybe it was just too German for me? Lol
And I've already been on the Billie Eilish train, but the rest of the albums you mentioned are all new to me so thanks for the recommendations!

SOAK - Grim Town is my AOTY so far.

I think this was on my list of albums to listen to at some point but it ended up getting swept under the rug and I never got around to it, so thanks for bringing it back up!

If it's @Teeeee 's AOTY, it's got to be quality. Very excited to hear this!
This is pleasant. Thank u kindly.
@Teeeee coming in with the heat (as if I expected anything else?)

Awesome thread idea!
High profile pop that I can't stop coming back to: Billie Eilish

Unfortunately it feels like it's been a lesser year for rock music so far. And indy music has been sounding very same-same to me all year. I also haven't done as much digging and exploring this year, so maybe it's on me. But it's been a really good year for higher profile rap and pop music. I think pop music overall took a cool turn this year.
