The War On Drugs - Wagonwheel Blues

Not sure which was the side project, was The WOD an offshoot on Kurt Vile and The Violators or did the Violators pick up steam based on Kurt’s work in The War On Drugs? Regardless, Kurt Vile and Adam Granduciel will always be attached through their shared history and while both groups have become quite renowned within indie circles Wagonwheel Blues is the only fulll length to feature these stalwarts ripping it up together.

Tracey is probably best known as the voice of Everything but the Girl but, sadly, I doubt we’ll ever see another EBTG album. Her most recent solo record Record is a fine consolation prize however.

Yeah, I love it too! I think it's what drew me to this album in the first place - represents the music within well, too (Sabbath-y riffs with a psych bent)
