Besides the pun above, this is obviously blue. Probably not a genre hint because that would be too easy and the time-frame is not prime blues material, so maybe blue in song or album title or a cover that is dominated by blue colors.

The title of that image is the hex color code for azure, which probably doesn't matter, but just in case!
Azure ray would be a female lead band that released a bunch of records in the discussed time-frame

Just sold Shades of Blue a couple months ago, if it's the AOTM great pick, it's a great album but surprisingly got few spins at the house with Flight to Brazil or 420 getting the spins whenever I am in a Madlib mood.
