Back from a his n hers double bill, Malificent 2 (here) and zombieland 2 (his)..... & hers was much better , solid 8/10 for Malificent , good movie for all the family ...zombieland 2, ok , but a bit of a rehash , certainly don’t need a third 7/10

We went to see Zombieland yesterday... It was fun. One of the better comedy sequels but it's kind of light on plot.

The Laundromat was a total mess, but it was entertaining and I think I like what it was trying to say....but mostly I'm still thinking about how wild Greener Grass was.
Zombieland was decent, it was just kind of like just dropping in on some old characters to see what they've been up to. Funny and short enough to make it a fun time at the movies.

I finally saw Joker.
It’s fine.
but I rewatched Long Shot the other night and laughed a lot. I think it’s my second favorite comedy of the year behind Booksmart.

The Lighthouse is supposed to be “everywhere” tomorrow but of course it’s not playing anywhere where I live. Though I swear I checked showtimes for it a few days ago and it was here. Weird

Finally watched it and I agree with this completely. It’s a well-shot movie with a very committed central performance that hides a poor and deeply ugly script. Waste of Phoenix’s talents.

Watched the latest Terminator today in imax, it’s better than the everything since T2, but outside of a couple of good set piece battles, kinda underwhelming overall. And cinema was empty , not good on a Saturday afternoon on opening weekend

I, too, just saw The Lighthouse.
It was a lot.
It blows my mind and makes me incredibly hopeful for the future of movies that this movie got made and was given pretty decent distribution. God bless A24.
