20 hours a week???? I'm lucky if I get an hour a day after the kids go to bed.well if youāre listening to approx 20 hours a week you should be changing the stylus every year so itās a $100 difference over the $50 replacement black stylus

Work has been nuts recently, but I still get around ten hours a week. Of course, I donāt have kids at home and I am very much a music addict. (You were all already aware of this)

I'm in the same boat. Thankfully my kids are starting to show an interest in spinning with me so we've been doing one or two on weekend mornings.

My turntable is in our basement. If had it at a more central location it would get more use. (But probably with the Disney soundtrack du jour)

I've debates putting a budget system together upstairs but that's a discussion for another day.
Back to the issue at hand...is the 8mz on LP Gear the same one that has been available. They seem to stress that it's a new one being made for LP Gear.

@RichGrado said there was no change with the 8MZ, so Iām thinking ālatest productionā may just be marketing. As the 8MZ is the same price everywhere, ālatest productionā makes it appear to be different than other vendorās offerings when in fact it is not.

I'm sorry I thought somewhere previously in the thread I read the 8MZ got an upgrade of some sort as well.

Welcome! Last year I put a Gold2 on my Harman Kardon T65C (it has a DC motor, so no hum) and I love it. I donāt see myself buying another brand of cartridge. Keep up the great work!

I can tell you the Gold3 is one fine cartridge. If I were blindfolded, Iād guess it as far more expensive than it actually is.
