Do you make stuff?

New pinwheel design using water rippled glass. See the effect on the 3rd photo.

I also hit the jackpot today. A woman was clearing out her fathers storage locker from his former glass business. I purchased loads of incredible glass for super cheap! She just wanted it gone. It was incredible!!!

Been playing around with my new tablet

I've had some really good knitting momentum lately. I ended up finishing a pair of socks I started last year (and continue to ignore the ones I started like 5 years ago)

I also made a sweater:

I have another project that is close to being done and then I think I'm going to start something new.

Love this!!! And what great yarn for socks.

I took the time to go through my yarn last weekend and I found a sweater that I have almost completed. I think I'm going to go ahead and seam and finish it.

I’ve been working on a mystery cross stitch along pattern. I’m almost done with the first clue with the second one coming June 1st. This is a large piece that will be 19.5” x 19.5” full coverage. It’s been a good thing to work on during these isolation periods.

I also made the grime guard to wrap up excess fabric and the needle minder. I used an old Emily the Strange button on one side and a WFMU button on the other.

I’ve been making guitar pedals from kits (so soldering them, labelling the boxes and boxing it all up). I studied electronics so should really be doing it from scratch but I’ve been easing myself back in for now.

Here are my two most recent builds, a pre-amp and a tremolo:

That's awesome. What's a kit cost? I might try this.
Really, depends what you decide to build and where you are! Lots of good background information and links to suppliers on r/DIYpedals - reckon you could pick up a fuzz pedal kit in the £20 to £30 range with case and components, maybe less depending on where you go. I’ve been buying kits from www.fuzzdog.co.uk but have a couple where I’ve just bought a pcb and will get the components myself, and have a couple further ideas for things I’ll do on vero board from schematics.

Do you already have a soldering iron, solder, etc?

edit: feel free to DM with any questions

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I have an iron and solder.
