Me neither. I mean it’s good but that good...

Me neither but what do I know 😄

Hmmmm. I might need to reevaluate, it may be a masterpiece after all 😜

I personally think the album is overhyped and overrated but maybe I'm just uncultured. 🤷

Wow that’s really defensive! I think overhyped and overrated is unfair. There enough weight of opinion to suggest that we are in the minority. Not to our taste and not that high in our ratings is probably a much more accurate reflection of the album.

That is just one man's opinion, mine, so you are right I am in the minority. I NEVER said the album was thrash or that it sucks I just said it's not as good, at least to my ears, as everyone else makes it out to be.

this is my top 36, the records I would call remarkable and imagine I will be listening to deep into 2021. 37 is Steep Canyon Rangers with the Asheville Symphony - Be Still Moses, which spent a lot of time on the table when it came out and is good but will probably not be in heavy rotation moving forward.

Overhyped and overrated takes it out of personal opinion, it suggests the wider hype and rating are at fault. The comment about yourself “not being cultured enough” was hella defensive.

I haven't received my Ghost Funk Orchestra yet. It's on the way. I decided to go blind with it and play it through only when I receive the vinyl. Based on the few tracks I heard and my appreciation for their 1st LP, I fully anticipate I will have to make room for it on my list.

It’s better than A Song for Paul, but very different. As far as interesting and in my opinion pushing music... I’d rank:
1. Holy Hive
2. Ghost Funk
3. Moses

Love your list by the way. I need to revisit some of those entries (plus there's a bunch I don't know that I'll check out).

I will say I disagree that calling something overhyped and overrrated is taking it out of the realm of opinion. That’s squarely an opinion that disagrees with what are ultimately are other opinions.

And to be honest I took two posts in response to it as insulting enough to be defensive if you take them personally.

Streamed some clips from your entries and I actually found 9 LPs that are up my alley and that are either new to me, I missed or hadn't gotten to. I have some listening to do today.
