A Simple Twist Of Fate - The Bob Dylan Thread

Okay so I'm only about halfway through Chronicles: Volume One but
jumping from playing at the Gaslighy trying to get a record deal straight to 1968 is pretty fucking funny and very Bob.

This is a great read....

Steven Hyden is really good. He also worked with Steve Gorman on his Black Crowes memoir. Highly entertaining if you haven't checked it out...

I enjoyed the special episode of his Dead podcast with Rob Mitchum (36 From the Vault) discussing the Manchester Free Trade Hall concert, as well.

This is a great read....

Obviously, each of us would have a different list, but these write-ups are great and definitely worth reading. I actually agree with most of the sentiments on each album. I'd just position them a little differently.

Edit: I actually did a ranking of all of his studio albums up to that point on one of those threads on the old board, but I don't think I kept a copy of it anywhere.

So had the massive misfortune of working in Dudley today (what a shithole)

But the good fortune of passing a Salvation Army store with a half price vinyl sale...

So in I went ..most of the Vinyl was shite , apart from a nice minty Wings Across America for £7

But some doozy had ditched all the Dylan bootleg series CDs ...

Including the only one I was missing..vol 15 Travllin’ Thru ..mine for £3

Sometimes there is a god
