    Did anyone get the Cloud Nothings "Attack on Memory" 10th Anniversary? Every Discogs review so far has reported major surface noise. It's got me a little worried for a $30 plus record

    Anyone ever accidentally have a package sent to an old address? It's been over a year so forwarding is off. The post office said they couldn't do anything about it (even though both addresses are in the same zip code).

    Here's a recent exchange I had with a scam caller.

    Scammer: Hello, is Tanika there?
    Me: Does this sound like Tanika?
    Scammer: No this sounds like a moron.

    First off, I am really more upset that they hung up right after that retort. Second, were they calling me a moron because I answered, because I wasn't Tanika, or because the last time this scammer called I asked him how many of deez he had for lunch...

    We once got a bench warrant sent to us for a previous tenant of our house and shortly afterwards, a private investigator came to our door looking for the guy. He hadn't lived here in at least 4-5 years, so, yeah, what @Mather said, witches.

    I probably make this post one a year, but seeing the BRMC pre order sent me on a quest. It would be awesome if HBO Max had old episodes of Reverb.

    For some reason your post reminded me of the documentary Dig!, covering the Brian Jonestown Massacre/Dandy Warhols tour (maybe because Peter Hayes was in BJM at the time). Essential viewing if you haven’t.

    Ticketmaster trying to sell me parking for Coldplay in DC for $50 + $13 fee like it's some kind of discount. Fuck that. Is that really what FedEx Field charges for parking day of?

    Fedex field is pretty awful. It’s great that I can take the metro and walk from there but getting home afterward (since the metro usually closes before the concert ends) with a rideshare is the worst. The stadium itself is nothing fancy either.

    I saw U2 there back on 2009. I remember the metro was an awful experience because it was so crowded and the station was still like a mile from the stadium.

    What's the best way to seek out 2nd hand concert tickets? Regret not getting Paul McCartney tickets for Camden Yards and StubHub and Ticketmaster prices are ridiculous. (Doesn't help that I don't do heights well so upper deck stadium seats are usually a no go).

    @dbarila I haven't done that method post-covid, but I would imagine even more pop up closer to the show date because of covid, etc.

    I've had good luck recently with Stubhub 1-3 days before a show. Craigslist is a scam 99% of the time, unless you can find someone who is willing to let you use Paypal goods and services, so you've got some recourse if they don't send you tickets. Any other method of payment (Paypal friends and family/zelle/etc.) don't have buyer protection and you're out of luck if they don't send anything.

    Best bet is stubhub/ticketmaster for second hand, you might have a dip in prices the last week but not guaranteed. TBH, it depends on Covid status. In August of last year, I barely could give tickets away due to Delta that sold quickly when there was no variant swirling.
