*Pours one out for Palladia*
The Glastonbury clip shows made that channel great. Every time I check MTV "Live" now it's usually just music videos and very little live music.
I had the same regret but luckily I was able to claim a very generous PIF offer for it. I think you can still find standard black vinyl versions of it out there for cheap.
Actually, I think it's just because I was listening to the 90's Alternative Essentials playlist the other day and I'm pretty sure "Connection" is on there. I just know I had seen the album cover more recently than not.
The only thing I really know from Elastica is "Connection" from 90's radio. I'm not sure what I thought the rest of their songs sounded like but I'm getting some major Blur vibes from the first couple of tracks.
Gotcha. To be honest I usually listen to my daily albums at work so I wasn't paying to much attention to the lyrics or anything. The "nice" was meant more as that I was enjoyed listening to it. Not that it was airy-fairy. Nope., no definitely not that.
I haven't totally been keeping up. Why is the Death Cab one so hard to find? I feel like everyone's very lukewarm on anything Death Cab since 2005, but if they put out a live album on RSD they're the most popular band in the world.
This one always brought me such joy/aggravation in the early days of the internet.

OK, that's my last non pre-order post.
