The last few Willie albums were great but bothered me because his vocals were immaculate, which didn't jibe with the last few times I've seen him live. The new album is definitely some best takes, but it is actually good to hear his voice ragged and aged. Lean into it Willie, it only accentuates the songs you've been singing.
