Yeah I totally get you there. Im even twitchy about paying anything over £50 for first pressings of Blue Notes. How anyone can drop a few thousand on a single LP I will never know.

Little PSA for J-Jazz fans. Hiroshi Suzuki's Cat seems to be getting a reissue cut to 'Swamp Green' vinyl by French label Klimt. Everything I can find however suggest that Klimt are a bootleg label so probably best to avoid. Several eBay listings and even Juno are looking like stocking.

Didn't knew about this reissue. I was coming here to say that there will be two new records in the Japanese jazz serie Project Re:Vinyl. The records are listed nowhere except on Dusty Groove site (here and here). You can already listen to a snippet of each record on Universounds' Instagram. Both are released on August 28th and I hope Mr Bongo will have these records on stock, I don't want to pay for customs again

The records are listed nowhere except on Dusty Groove site (here and here). You can already listen to a snippet of each record on Universounds' Instagram. Both are released on August 28th and I hope Mr Bongo will have these records on stock, I don't want to pay for customs again

I wish I could. Actually, since we are planning to move to the south-west of France, I was looking how much was a flight to London and it's cheaper than the Eurostar. Soooo IF I have to place orders from Rough Trade, Mr Bongo, Sounds of the Universe and Sister Ray, it might be better for me to get in a plane, go to a few shops, drink a couple of beers and fly back to Bordeaux in the same day

The only good thing about Bordeaux is the wine. You should reconsider because you can buy their wine pretty much anywhere in France.
The idea is to move to the south of Bordeaux in the middle of a pine forst.

That cover of "By the red stream" is calling out to me. Will check it out.
Also, I'll be going to Japan again in December-January if you'd like something from the record shops over there again.
Looks like a new Matthew Halsall album is coming.

Just noticed the Vital Vinyl series changed up their hype sticker. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how they're using the "Verve" logo in the center versus the "Impulse!" logo. My guess is they realized Impulse made more sense and switched it at some point in production?

Saw this at my local yesterday so picked it up with some store credit. Despite the water damage to the sleeve, the record is surprisingly clean and sounds great.
