In my experience with now-again grab bags, the bonus will probably be a $2 record…but still. Good dealWith the free bonus record, shakes out to $23 a piece. Glad I waited…

It might be a little better since it's supposed to be from this catalog, but I don't know how much these cost either. They do look interesting to me though... Except for the brother Moses one,In my experience with now-again grab bags, the bonus will probably be a $2 record…but still. Good deal
Yea might be! I’ve just had really bad experiences with their promotions like this from rappcats/now-againIt might be a little better since it's supposed to be from this catalog, but I don't know how much these cost either. They do look interesting to me though... Except for the brother Moses one,

but is it the reinvention of the box set, as well?Free record aside, it’s $26/album shipped. Much better than the anthology.
No box or book - everything else is the same. Member price was $270+tax, so about $40 per record.but is it the reinvention of the box set, as well?
I bet you could find a box and book on cogs or the electronic bay at some point. No box or book - everything else is the same. Member price was $270+tax, so about $40 per record.
Essentially an extra $100 for the box and book. Frankly they don’t add nearly that value for me.
Good pointI bet you could find a box and book on cogs or the electronic bay at some point.
Aretha maybe? If it's solo only can't see it being Diana Ross. Joni Mitchell could work here too, actually I think I'm leaning more towards Joni, based on how many Aretha albums they've already done.At the end of the Waylon podcast Storf teases the anthology after after Memphis Rap.
It’ll be the first one focused on a solo female artist and that she was “very important in the 70s”. He also said that they’re working closely with her and her family.
No mention of genre or anything only that it’ll be revealed on January 24th.

The wording used was that they were working with her and her family, which sounds like they're either alive or died recently. Loretta Lynn died recently enough it very well could be.Storf seems to be trying to recreate my mother's 8-track collection so my money is on Loretta Lynn or Tammy Wynette
Joni doesn’t make much sense given the boxes she/the label is putting out now.Aretha maybe? If it's solo only can't see it being Diana Ross. Joni Mitchell could work here too, actually I think I'm leaning more towards Joni, based on how many Aretha albums they've already done.
Yeah. It's probably not, but that's the first thing that came to mind. I think the Loretta Lynn guess is the strongest one imo.Joni doesn’t make much sense given the boxes she/the label is putting out now.
There's already enough audiophile Carol King available to make that a less than exciting pick. I love her, but I've got all I want/need already. Loretta Lynn would be more exciting. Or Tina Turner would be awesome. The recent releases have been meh.Discord has gotten a bunch of confirmed “no”s, Aretha is a confirmed no.
So far the guessing is leaning to Carole king.
I’d have preferred Lucinda or Alice Coltrane myself but yeah.
